Tebay Services opened in June 1972 as Britain’s only family-owned motorway service station. Founded by the Dunning family, it pioneered the farm shop concept at motorway services long before it became fashionable. Unlike corporate-owned facilities, Tebay focuses on local produce, home-cooked food, and quality over mass-market offerings. The kitchen garden supplies fresh ingredients to the restaurant.
